OUR STORY

Blix began as a celebration of friendship, great beer, and a love for Africa.

In 2021, we launched our own small-batch beer, leading to the creation of Blix Tavern at 100 Dorp Street, Stellenbosch Central.

The name "Blix" is inspired by Karen Blixen’s memoir-turned-film, Out of Africa, reflecting her deep appreciation for the continent.

At Blix, we share this sentiment, blending old-world charm with a modern lifestyle.

We've expanded beyond beer to offer a diverse selection of whiskies, wines, cocktails, and fine cigars.
